A young woman tries to move on from traumatic childhood experiences of abuse. But, as she starts a new relationship, she finds her body refuses to forget.

The Body is Sacred is part of the Words First series of spoken word animations commissioned to celebrate the finalists of 2022’s BBC Words First, unearthing fresh and exciting new talent.
