A rap documentary series with The Rap Game UK contestants FOS and Ransom as they discover underground rap scenes in a kitted-out yellow camper van.

Rap Trip: Underground Scenes Uncovered follows The Rap Game UK contestants Ransom and FOS as they drive across the UK and Ireland discovering the underground rap scenes that are not yet breaking through, but could be next to blow.

They meet rappers who are taking control and finding new ways to push their scenes, whether it’s building a stage in their local pub to perform or driving around Liverpool rapping out of a convertible car to entertain the public. This celebratory and fun series shines a light on pure passion and love for the UK and Ireland rap scenes.

Each episode sees Ransom and FOS travel to a different region, picking up local artists along the way in their kitted-out VW camper van. At the end of each episode, FOS and Ransom will record a freestyle in the back of the car with an artist they’ve met on the way.

FOS and Ransom travel to the Republic of Ireland to discover its underground scene.

Rappers FOS and Ransom travel to the Republic of Ireland to discover its underground scene and meet some of the rappers who are making noise.

The Irish rap scene has existed for decades but has been long overlooked and overshadowed by rappers in the US and UK. So FOS and Ransom head to the Republic of Ireland to meet some of the Irish rappers who are making noise. In FOS’s first time overseas, the duo meet JYellowL in Dublin. The Nigerian Irish artist has huge talent and was recently featured on the Fifa soundtrack, but he finds it difficult to feel accepted as an Irish rapper. 

The next stop is Tallaght, where teenage viral sensations Cal and Pepper have become local celebrities and are challenging the perception of Irish rap. The sad loss of both of their brothers has motivated Cal and Pepper to go all the way, and they won’t stop until they are millionaires. But Irish rap isn’t all about the city life. Next, Ransom and FOS take the van across to Port Arlington, an area that has suffered from job and industry losses. It’s here that the Lemon Pie Collective are based – a group of mates who struggle to be taken seriously as rappers in their local area. But they are pushing on regardless, building a stage in the local pub to unite the locals and showcase their sound.
