Born in Edinburgh in 1990, Shooglenifty created their unique sound by fusing traditional melodies with the beats and basslines of world music influences. "Heading West: A Story About A Band Called Shooglenifty" follows the original members of the band and their rise in international popularity. Praised as an uplifting gem for fans old and new, Anna chats to director Don Coutts about the making of the film ahead of his appearance at the Edinburgh International Film Festival for the world premiere.
