Fresh storytelling from first time writers and producers as part of BBC Introducing Arts supported by BBC Arts and Arts Council England. 

Writer, musician and broadcaster Paul Dodgson presents two thought provoking short dramas from the next generation of dramatists. 

Burn your Wishes by Zia Holloway. The future is suddenly uncertain as old friends gather for their annual tradition of setting off fireworks.  

Written by Zia Holloway and starring Elle Meadows, Luke Rees-Oliviere, and Andrea Martinez.  The script editor was Mike Akers and the executive producer was Jeremy Routledge.  A Calling the Shots production. 

Burp by Skot Wilson. Will has got a plan to save the planet–and the UK farming industry. He’s discovered a way to tackle one of our worst greenhouse gases: methane. But the source of the gas isn’t what you might expect...

Written and directed by Skot Wilson and starring Stanley Eldridge and  Geoff Leesley.  Sound design by Clifford Steven Jones, original music by Tingying Dong.  The producer was Kate Jones and it was a Calling the Shots production.
