Step into Arlo’s inner world for an hour of music and musings on creativity, comfort and inspiration. She’s called it Dream Fuel - a scrapbook in sound of her favourite tracks, poems, personal voice notes, field recordings and special guests. 

In this episode, Arlo is joined by Wolf Alice’s frontwoman Ellie Rowsell. Together, they talk about the joys of dramatic vocals and the reasons for self-censoring. Including the sultry vocals from Kate Bush, lyrical honesty from Frank Ocean and gorgeous vocal harmonies from American vocal trio of sisters The Roches.  

Also, Arlo shares her favourite opening lyric from The National and how music has been a comfort to her during her transition to living in a different country. 

Arlo Parks is a London-born singer-songwriter and poet, who came onto the music scene back in 2019. Her debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams, won the 2021 Mercury Prize, and in the same year she won Best New Artist at the Brit Awards.
