Open up Arlo’s sonic scrapbook for an hour of music, thoughts and reflections. Plus the musician Ethel Cain joins for an exchange of songs and stories.

Step into Arlo’s inner world for an hour of music and musings on creativity, comfort and inspiration. She’s called it Dream Fuel - a scrapbook in sound of her favourite tracks, poems, personal voice notes, field recordings and special guests. 

In this episode Arlo is joined by singer-songwriter Ethel Cain, who released her debut album Preacher’s Daughter earlier this year. She tells Arlo about how much she loves driving as a space to think and listen to music, and shares some of her road trip songs and stories, from the soothing ‘musical blanket’ sounds of Grouper to the synthwave bangers of De Lorra and Fabiana Palladino. 

Plus Arlo shares a selection of tracks she’s had on repeat recently from the likes of Skullcrusher, Solange and My Bloody Valentine, as well as sharing one of her all-time favourite poems from Brenda Shaughnessy.

Arlo Parks is a London born singer-songwriter and poet, who came onto the music scene back in 2019. Her debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams, won the 2021 Mercury Prize, and in the same year she won Best New Artist at the Brit Awards.
