DJ Edu brings his rich musical knowledge of the African music scene.  
And each week there’s a big interview with star name from music, fashion, football, and more – they’ll be sharing what excites them in music right now. 

This Is Africa also each week features DJ Edu’s Ten in Ten: 10 tracks from 10 different countries in 10 minutes. 
And there’s a focus on new talent every time – the programme will always be introducing up and coming artists from a different African country.

DJ Edu’s introduces stars from Congo Brazzaville and Botswana

DJ Edu introduces Nestelia Forest, a singing star from Congo Brazzaville, and ambitious Batswana rapper Veezo View.

Nestelia Forest has loyal fans in her homeland, Congo Brazzaville. One even posted recently that her voice and cheap beer are the two things keeping him from leaving the country! She started singing in bands aged 16, and her first hit under her own name was Cocorico. Since then she’s had many more, including Ntimani and Minguinita.

Veezo View also started his music career at 16. His mother is from South Africa, his father from Botswana, where he grew up. The Batswana rapper has an assured, smooth sound and he’s planning to take it all the way to the top – his stated aim is to become as big as Burna Boy. He keeps it real in his lyrics, which talk about his mum, his sister, heartbreak, good times and things which really happen in his life.
