A new report by the think tank The Institute for Fiscal Studies found a growth in economic inactivity among those in their 50s and 60s - that's a measure of people who are neither in, or looking, for paid work. The most important reason for this increase was a sharp rise in the number of people deciding to leave work for retirement.
