This Is Africa also each week features DJ Edu’s Ten in Ten: 10 tracks from 10 different countries in 10 minutes. 
And there’s a focus on new talent every time – the programme will always be introducing up and coming artists from a different African country.

Indira Rocha is a charismatic rapper and singer from Cape Verde, who combines her music career with her job as an English teacher.

Indira Rocha is a charismatic rapper and singer from Cape Verde who has been singing since childhood, but put her musical journey on hold to focus on her studies. She came to public attention with the release of her first single, Gato Loja, in 2020, and has continued to build her fanbase.                
Indira combines her music career with her other passion, education. She’s an English teacher, and motivates her students by performing live for them when they've done well in school.
