Seonaid Aitken with a perfect soundtrack for the Jubilee Weekend including Hot 8 Brass Band's rendition of Royal Garden Blues and a piece from Duke Ellington's Queen's Suite which was originally pressed up in a limited edition of one copy only especially for Her Majesty The Queen. Pianist Richard Michael is in full bloom for tonight’s Song Book looking at the tune 'June Is Burstin' Out All Over' from the musical Carousel, plus a treat for John Coltrane fans as we hear his version of Summertime from a long lost mono recording of his album My Favourite Things which has just been released. Plus plenty of music from Scotland including cuts from the Brian Molley Quartet, Colin Steele, Marianne McGregor, Joseph Akin, Carol Kidd and Rachael Cohen.
