Nearly three thousand emergency workers in Wales were assaulted last year, an increase of almost five per cent. With an anticipated spike in 999 calls over the bank holiday, bosses have called for the public to work with not against them. How do we stop these attacks, and are sentences tough enough? Ed Sheeran played the last of three sold-out shows at the Principality Stadium on Saturday night. Rock group My Chemical Romance was also playing at nearby Sophia Gardens – resulting in huge traffic problems on the trains, roads and leaving car parks. Some critics have questioned why two such massive gigs were held on the same night.
