Marc, the alias of Neil Charles, came up studying classical double bass at the prestigious Trinity College of Music in London.  This led to him becoming a player in the UK jazz renaissance, including his trio Zed-U with Shabaka Hutchings (Sons of Kemet, The Comet is Coming) and Tom Skinner (Sons of Kemet, The Smile).  With Zed-U, Marc’s passion for electronic music began to develop.  He and Hutchings would frequent London nightclubs together, soaking in the sounds of garage, broken beat and drum’n’bass.
His new album draws on all of these influences and unifies the entirety of his musical journey.
