Alex Kapranos and Bob Hardy from Franz Ferdinand join Grant to talk about their new album Hits to the Head which comes with a new band line-up and newly rescheduled tour dates including the Glasgow Hydro in November.

Ahead of a new BBC Scotland documentary called Long Live My Happy Head, Grant meets a Scottish comic book artist called Gordon. Living with an inoperable incurable brain tumour, Gordon makes autobiographical comics about his experiences, as well as the love of his life Shawn, who he met as he approaches his 40th birthday. We’ll hear how finding love has lead Gordon to interview the people who have cared for, and lost, loved ones as he looks to move away from writing comics about himself, to the experiences of those who have cared for people like him.

We hear about Our Movements Our Stories from Andrea Baker and Briana Pedago, and performer Rhys Hollis who tell Grant about the film project created by a group of award-winning Black performers, shining a light on Black and Black LGBTQ excellence in Scottish performance, which will be exhibited at Dunoon Burgh Hall from this Friday
