James King and the BBC Concert Orchestra celebrate some of the greatest Movie Musicals.

James King celebrates some of the greatest Movie Musicals to date, with the BBC Concert Orchestra and singers Louise Dearman and Graham Bickley.

Movie Musicals have been gracing our screens since the 1920s, and from the dance spectacles of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, to the award-winning debuts of Julie Andrews and Barbra Streisand, right through to animated Disney showstoppers of the 21st Century, there's something for everyone. 

Tonight, another chance to hear James King celebrate some of the greatest Movie Musicals to date with the BBC Concert Orchestra and conductor Richard Balcombe, along with special guests Louise Dearman and Graham Bickley. 

Highlights include 20th Century classics including The Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins, and On The Town, and 21st Century hits including Chicago, A Star is Born, and Frozen.

First broadcast earlier this year.
