Gerry Mulligan was one of the trailblazers in moving jazz forward from the late 1940s onwards.

Saxophonist, composer and arranger Gerry Mulligan was one of the key figures in the development of modernist jazz. In a career of almost 50 years from the late 1940s onwards, he played alongside the likes of Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Thelonious Monk, Billie Holiday and Duke Ellington.
