Airports and holiday companies gear up for a busy spring as we rush for sun.

Holiday firms say we are gearing up to go on a foreign holiday in greater numbers than ever this year. And  'surge pricing' is on the way from our power companies, but what is it?

Trust Pilot the online product review site is, for the first time,  taking firms to court who it thinks have solicited so called fake reviews

Ofgem want energy firms to ready smart meters for so called surge pricing. That's when the price charged per unit can vary every half hour. The idea is to encourage us to use power outside of peak demand. They say it could knock over £4bn off the nation's power bills. 

After two years of 'staycations' for millions,  holiday companies say we can't wait to fly to the sun and have been booking up in greater numbers and paying more for holidays  than in 2019.

The UK's top consumer 'watchdog' , the Competition and Markets Authority, have launched a campaign to make the public aware of four common online rip offs. It is ahead of an expected beefing up of powers to enable them to sanction people and organisations who rip -off consumers directly without the need to take them to court.
