Mark Radcliffe on the new Radio 2 initiative, 21st Century Folk, Ben Whishaw tells Zoe all about his new series 'This Is Going to Hurt', and we have another Piano in MY room.

Wake up and embrace the day with Zoe! Between 8am and 9am she keeps the tunes rolling on Maximum Music Monday. She also plays three disco classics from her personal collection in the Disco Ball at 8.30!

Our pal Mark Radcliffe is on the show chatting about our new Radio 2 project, in partnership with BBC Local Radio. '21st Century Folk', is an ambitious initiative to capture the essence of life in the North East of England in 2022 - the BBC’s centenary year. Mark's on the show asking people from the North East to share stories about their daily lives. Five of these stories will be given to songwriters, who will write original songs based on the listeners’ experiences. The songs will then be performed by a range of artists, including musicians with links to the region.

Ben Whishaw is also on the show, talking to Zoe about starring in the new BBC Drama 'This is Going To Hurt', based on the hugely successful book by Adam Kay.
Ben is BAFTA, Golden Globe and EMMY Award winning actor, best known for playing Q in James Bond films 'Skyfall' (2012), 'Spectre' (2015) and 'No Time to Die' (2021), the BBC drama 'A Very English Scandal', the film 'The Danish Girl' (2015), and for voicing Paddington Bear in 'Paddington' (2014), and 'Paddington 2' (2017).

Dave from Southend-on-Sea plays Bohemian Rhapsody in today's Piano in MY Room!

Along with Adam Porter on news, Richie Anderson on travel and Mike Williams on sport, she and the team have the best start to your morning.

There's also a daily Pause For Thought from Sarah Joseph, plus texts, emails and voice notes, as Zoe entertains the nation with fun for the family!
