Classic tracks and new releases brought to you by Gary West, the key ingredient in all of it being the bagpipes! Turning the clock back to the 1970s, we hear from two world-leading pipe bands, the Edinburgh City Police and the Shotts and Dykehead, and from the 1980s, two seminal tracks from one of the greatest players of all time, the late Alasdair Gillies. There’s brand new music from Eddie Seaman and from James Duncan MacKenzie, there’s a trip to Brittany in France for a taste of the Celtic otherworld courtesy of Manannan, solo highland pipe sets from Andrew Wright from Dundee and Angus MacColl from Benderloch, and some toe-tapping, blood-stirring, pipe-led reels from Daimh.
