Tom plays music by artists from the midnight timezone, plus requests from some of our fave artists of the year and a mix from Italy based Chilean DJ and producer Paula Tape.

Tom brings new years eve to life on 6 Music with tracks by artists from the midnight timezone; it's a massive happy new year all the way through the show! Plus requests and messages from some of our fave artists of the year, including Tim Reaper, Gazelle Twin, Clark and India Jordan. And there's a mix from Italy based Chilean DJ and producer Paula Tape.
Paula grew up as a drummer in a few metal and indie-electro bands in Santiago de Chile, before then learning to DJ whilst studying fashion design at University. This lit the fire inside her belly and inspired her to travel to seek out new musical opportunities. Living between Barcelona and Milan, she devoted herself full time to her primary passion, continuing the exploration of electronic sounds and following her natural inclination to dig for hidden gems. This eventually led her to her passion for percussive sounds, which have shaped her style. She has two EPs under her belt via Alzaya & SOBO, collaborations with Project Pablo, Tornado Wallace & Elias Mazian to boot, and singles on Permanent Vacation, Ransom Note Records and Rhythm Section International’s highly regarded 2020 ‘SHOUTS’ compilation. She recently released her latest Astroturismo EP via Rhythm Section International.
