On Remembrance Sunday, writer, broadcaster and former Bishop of Edinburgh, Richard Holloway, tells Connie McLaughlin about his new book, ‘The Heart of Things - An Anthology of Memory and Lament’, a meditative exploration of the poems and words that can help guide and sustain.


Baroness Helena Kennedy, Director of the International Bar Association, Human Rights Institute, explains the scheme she has organised, which has so far helped over 100 female judges and lawyers escape from Afghanistan for their safety.


The Covid-19 vaccine and climate change are just two current issues where people's rights have collided. Baroness Helena Kennedy, Richard Holloway, and writer and theologian, Greg Garrett, discuss how to find a way through when one individual or group’s right clashes with another.

Holocaust survivor, Lily Ebert, speaks about why it’s so important for her to share her story with the world, and together with her great grandson, Dov Forman, they reflect on the dangers of intolerance and the importance of remembrance. 


And Greg Garrett and Dov Forman look at the issues raised in Neighbours, a film included in this year's UK Jewish Film Festival, and the lessons to be learned from this moving story told through the lens of a young Kurdish child experiencing violence and Arab nationalism around him.
