Double Grammy Award winning vocalist Kurt Elling visits Scotland this month for a string of live dates as featured soloist with long-time collaborators, the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, and musical director/saxophonist Tommy Smith. Join Kurt and Tommy as they chat with Seonaid Aitken sharing news of their latest project ‘Apparition Bridge’, in which they’ll be performing new arrangements and lyrics to the works of some of Europe's most exciting contemporary composers. Including compositions by Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek, Danish bassist Anne Mette Iversen, and the late Swedish pianist and leader of the EST group, Esbjörn Svensson. Plus pianist Richard Michael looks at the Beatles classic ‘Norwegian Wood’ as part of tonight’s Song Book sharing versions by Herbie Hancock & Buddy Rich.
