Every January in Glasgow, audiences congregate across the city to enjoy performances from some of the world’s finest celtic, roots and folk acts at the Celtic Connections Festival.  It’s always an eclectic and inspired programme and The Quay Sessions has been part of the fun each year.  This week, Roddy Hart dips into the Celtic Connections archive to share some favourite moments. There are performances from Scotland’s finest dry-witted troubadour James Grant,  alt-folk multi-instrumentalist Rachael Dadd and ambient jazz-noir quartet Chartreuse. Plus a stripped back Idlewild, indie-folksters Admiral Fallow, Mull-based duo Sorren Maclean & Hannah Fisher, acoustic singer-songwriter Rory Butler and the innovative Breabach.
