British chair Alok Sharma says an agreement will be announced this morning.

The UN climate summit has officially run into overtime, with policymakers missing a 1800 GMT deadline Friday to ratify a binding deal. Alok Sharma, the British chair for COP26, says an agreement will be announced this morning.

Also in the programme: Today marks 20 years since the Taliban were first driven out of power in Afghanistan -- only to return with an even more secure footing in recent months. Our World Affairs editor, John Simpson, takes us on a journey through the years in Kabul.
