The amount of post-primary students studying modern languages has dropped disastrously – especially in Irish – according to a teachers’ pressure group. We speak to teachers Dessie Tennyson and Ciara Pickering about the problems they see in the sector and the strategies they are suggesting to tackle those problems. Dáithí also chats to Noel Ó Gallchóir who won Gradam Uí Shúilleabháin in the Gradaim Foilsitheoireachta for his book, Aisteoirí Ghaoth Dobhair 1931-1981. And finally we hear from Cumann na bhFiann about an online talent competition for teenagers.
