Rag rolling - popular with DIY enthusiasts in the 80s and 90s is - making something of a comeback. It's all over social media and there even are special rollers you can buy. We speak to one fan who’s recently used the look in her home and discuss with an expert why there’s a revival in faux painting techniques - where paint a decorative textured - look such as rag rolling.
 
Many people have switched to a vegetarian or vegan diet believing it to be a healthier lifestyle - but a new study has found that non meat eaters often end up eating more ultra processed food packed with preservatives, emulsifiers and anti-caking agents linked with health problems including obesity and heart disease. Reporter Mel Abbott has been speaking with the study’s researchers about their work and what the findings mean.

Three million disposable nappies are thrown away every year in the UK where they account for around 3% of all our household waste. But would a government ban or tax on disposables  discourage parents from buying them and persuade them to use reusable nappies are better?

As this year’s Christmas bestsellers hit bookshops why a worldwide shortage of paper combined with supply chain issues mean that some stores may struggle to stock their shelves. Karina Stevens, from children’s book publisher, Nosy Crow, which publishes thousands of children’s books for customers around the world, discusses the impact on her company.
