Wildlife assistant Rebecca is busy with orphaned partridges.

Wildlife assistant Rebecca is busy with orphaned partridges which she names after types of cheese! Meanwhile, Chloe hand-rears a gang of pine martens and returns them to the wild.

Rebecca is one of the main wildlife assistants in the bird unit and this year she finds herself dealing with some very unusual charges – a family of tiny orphaned red-legged partridges. She decides to name them after cheeses, and soon Brie, Parmesan, Edam and co are thriving under her careful attention with the help of Catelyn and Kaniz!

Meanwhile, Chloe is dealing with the year’s crop of orphaned pine marten kits. Named with a space theme, Moon, Apollo, Nasa and co are soon on their re-wilding journey. However, trouble strikes when Nasa develops a leg injury which could place his return to the wild in jeopardy.

Centre manager Steve is also on a mission to return a group of beautiful barn owls to the wild in the rich farmland near the Montrose Basin.
