Today, as part of 6 Music’s 90’s All Day Rave, Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie celebrate the sound of iconic Manchester nightclub The Hacienda with an energising mix of acid house, soulful synth and dance classics.

Opened by local record company Factory Records in collaboration with the band New Order, the Manchester venue became a world-famous beacon of dance music and rave culture in the late 1980’s and 1990’s. Mark and Stuart spin a selection of tracks to get the Saturday raving started including music from the likes of Derrick May, Candi Staton and 808 State.
