The Olympic bouts continue as boxers aim for medals.

GB's Lauren Price is among the boxers in action as the bouts continue to decide medals, including the men's heavyweight.

The boxing action continues with GB's Lauren Price in the latter stages of her bout. The Welsh athlete is competing in her semi-final of the middleweight division and has now guaranteed at least a silver medal. She is up against a rival of hers, Nouchka Fontijn of the Netherlands, and it’ll no doubt go down to the wire.

Fighting for the right to face Price or Fontijn in the final is Zenfira Magomedalieva and Li Qian. Qian is one of the highest ranked athletes in the division and will be overwhelming favourite for the bout but her Russian opponent has changed fighting divisions and will pose her challenges.

In the first of the two lightweight semi-finals, the US' Keyshawn Davis and Armenia's Hovhannes Bachkov face off for a spot in the gold medal match. The American will come into this match as favourite but don't count off the European, who will be looking to continue his fine vein of form which has seen only one judge go against him so far, in his round of 16 bout.

Fighting for a spot in the light gold medal match against the American or Armenian is Andy Cruz of Cuba and Harry Garside of Australia. Cruz has won has last two bouts by an aggregate score of 9-1 and will pose a serious attacking threat to Garside. The Australian fighter has had a tighter path to the final, having scraped through his quarter-final 3-2. 

In the final bout of the session, the men's heavyweight men's gold is decided. Julio la Cruz of Cuba and Muslim Gadzhimagomedov of the Russian Olympic Committee fight for Olympic glory in the showpiece event. Cruz has made it to the final relatively comfortably, beating a Kenyan, Spaniard and Brazilian along the way. Gadzhimagomedov has also seen a comfortable route to the final, having won his bouts with an aggregate score of 14-1.
