BBC Three - The Rap Game UK, Series 3, Episode 1

DJ Target, Krept and Konan launch the search for a new rap star.

DJ Target, Krept and Konan’s search for a new rap star begins. The six artists perform in a cypher before rapping about a day that changed their life to guest mentor Russ Millions.

The Rap Game UK is back in a new city, Manchester. Six artists from across the UK compete against each other for the chance to win a £20k music prize.

In episode one, straight after meeting one another, the artists perform for the first time in front of rap legends Krept, Konan and DJ Target. In a cypher performance all rapping on the same beat, the six must intro themselves - but not all rise to the challenge.

Later, after being blown away by the luxury penthouse in the heart of Manchester in which they’ll live and work for the duration of the process, the artists discover their next challenge - to write about one day that changed their life. Special guest Russ Millions watches and critiques before the artists discover their first week’s rankings, but not all are happy with the result.
