Director of Top Gear and A League Of Their Own Brian Klein tells Grant about his debut novel, a political thriller called The Counterfeit Candidate, and Grant reviews new movies.

Louis Barfe tells Grant about his book Sunshine and Laughter: The Morecambe and Wise Story, which celebrates the lives of the great comedy duo Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise.

Director of Top Gear and A League Of Their Own Brian Klein tells Grant about his debut novel, a political thriller called The Counterfeit Candidate, which imagines a world in which Hitler didn't end his life in the bunker after World War Two, and a consequential threat to American Democracy in 2012. He also talks about working with the likes of Jeremy Clarkson, Freddie Flintoff and Jack Whitehall.

Amy Liptrott talks about the theatrical experience Alice in Wonderland, situated in the Explorer's Garden at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, which she has written and directed. 

In Movie Review hour Paul Gallagher and Amber Wilkinson discuss 19th century romance The World to Come, in which Vanessa Kirby and Katherine Waterston are drawn to each other to escape the individual problems and isolation they experience in their lives; Off the Rails, a comedy drama in which three fifty-somethings attempt to recreate an inter-rail journey with the daughter of their late friend joining them; and Nowhere Special, a poignant drama starring James Norton as the loving and dedicated father of a four year old boy who tries to find him an adopted family after finding out he has a terminal illness.
