Victorian detective Charles Craddock investigates the theft of an Earl's painting.

When an Earl is assaulted and a painting stolen, it's up to Craddock and his niece to solve the crime. Stars Martin Jarvis.

Lucy Greenwood travels from Lancashire to London to work with her Uncle Charles at his Victorian London book shop.

But she soon discovers he has another profession -  as a private investigator.
