Grant chats to Bill Smith, the designer of hundreds of recognisable LP covers

Bobby Gillespie chats about his album of duets with Jehnny Beth of Savages, plus we'll have the first in monthly Audio Book Group.

Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie will be telling us about Utopian Ashes, his new record with Savages frontwoman Jehnny Beth 

Bill Smith is the man behind five decades of album art and cover design, including Kate Bush, Led Zeppelin and creating the look of The Jam. He'll be talking us through some of his highlights, as he celebrates the release of his book Cover Stories.

The acting legend that is Blythe Duff will be against the clock in this week’s edition of Getting to Know You with Paul English. 

We’ll be hearing from acclaimed writer Hannah Lavery, theatremaker Robbie Gordon of Wonder Fools, and young company member Vicky MacRae about an effort to get young people across the country performing this summer - that's Positive Stories.

And, always pushing the envelope, The Afternoon Show hosts Radio Scotland and possibly the world's first ever Audio Book Group. Blind comedian Jamie MacDonald will be telling us all about how audio books have shaped his reading, and how they've got better in recent years. This month, Jamie and our guest reviewer Jo Caulfield have been listening to the hottest new audio book around - Catherine Steadman's The Disappearing Act, as read by the author.
