Jamie is joined by Nai Palm, the lead vocalist and guitarist of Australian quartet Hiatus Kaiyote, to talk about their new record Mood Valiant

Jamie’s guest on the show this week is Nai Palm, the lead singer and guitarist of the incredible Grammy-nominated Melbourne band Hiatus Kaiyote!
The Australian quartet’s unique blend of neo-soul, jazz and RnB have won them many fans over the past decade - including hip-hop royalty like Jay Z and Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar and Anderson .Paak who have all sampled their music.
Six years on from groundbreaking 2015 record Choose Your Weapon, which saw them extensively tour the world, the band are back with fresh music. New album Mood Valiant is a 12 track showcase of a group at the height of their talents, making complex playing feel effortless and featuring songwriting rich in irresistible grooves.
Nai tells Jamie about how an early exposure to music from around the world shaped her sound, flying to Brazil to work with famed arranger Arthur Verocai and the importance of a band being like family
