Gary Davies sits in for Zoe and has Texas performing live from the BBC Maida Vale studios. Comedian and actor Omid Djalil calls in to talk to about his new upcoming tour.

Gary Davies sits in for Zoe Ball on a fun packed Friday show. Texas perform live from the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios and chat to Gary about their new album called, Hi. It's the band's 10th album, and they say it's a result of looking back with eyes fixed firmly on the future. Three of the songs were written in lockdown, in Scotland, Wales, LA and Sweden. Collaborations include ‘Dark Fire’, written with Richard Hawley, a lovely tune that recalls the spirit of a slow dance at a high school prom while ‘Look What You’ve Done’, is an intoxicating, classic duet where lead singer Sharleen Spiteri trades verses with Clare Grogan from Altered Images.

Omid Djalili phones in with details about his upcoming tour. It's called 'The Good Times Tour' and promises to deliver great stories to make you laugh. Omid will be travelling around the UK from July 2021 right through to November 2022. 

Along with Adam Porter on news, Richie Anderson on travel and Mike Williams on sport, he and the team have the best start to your morning. With celeb guests, headlines, tunes chosen by listeners, and more music that you can shake a glitterball at!

There's also a daily Pause For Thought with Reverend Richard Coles and listeners on the line, as Gary entertains the nation with fun for the family!
