World-renowned forensic anthropologist Professor Dame Sue Black and celebrated Scottish artist Ken Currie will be talking about Ken’s portrait of Sue that is being shown for the first time at the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh- and how it all sprang from a conversation they had when they were both guests on a BBC Radio programme.

American author Maggie Shipstead is live from LA as she talks about her brand new novel, Great Circle, which spans Prohibition-era Montana, the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, New Zealand, wartime London, and modern-day Los Angeles to tell the story of a daredevil female aviator’s doomed attempt to fly a complete circle around the world.
