We kick off the week with The Staves playing live & Matt Everitt has the Music News

Shaun is here again making some noise in between songs so the emergency tape doesn’t kick in. Plus, The Staves play live from the BBC's Radio Theatre in the final hour of the show

It’s the start of the week and Shaun has a brand new Liked and Shared track to kick off the week. Essentially it’s a rebrand of the Single of the Week (“They’ve re-badged it you fool”) and we’ll give it the first play today. This week it's the new single from the brilliant Villagers. The First Day is taken from Villagers' upcoming fifth studio album Fever Dreams which will be released on August 20th via Domino.

Plus, Monday sees our Music News journalist Matt Everitt joining with the latest Music News and another Small Claims Court caller joins with their claim to fame. 

As well as this, we're delighted to welcome The Staves to the programme as they play live for Shaun. The band released their 3rd album - Good Woman earlier this year and Jessica, Camilla, and Emily join Shaun to chat and play live in the final hour of the show

All this alongside GoldSoundZ kicks off the show with 30 minutes of 6 Music BANGERS!
