We celebrate Gregory's Girl at 40 with the film writer and director Bill Forsyth, and two of the actors from the film Clare Grogan and Alex Norton.

Writer and director Bill Forsyth, joins Nicola Meighan and actors Clare Grogan and Alex Norton to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of iconic Scottish film Gregory’s Girl and to chat about the impact this film has had not just on its stars but on the wider public.  Our listeners will join in with their special memories of this much loved film.

Edith Bowman will give her view on the enduring success of Gregory’s Girl and why it has struck a chord with so many as well as the influences on films made today.

Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow will be playing host to a free light show that will run for seven nights from Friday, illuminating the hotel’s clocktower on Hope Street with spectacular archive imagery documenting the vibrant history of the hotel and the city from the building of Central Station.
