Gary West has rising piping star John Dew in session showcasing a range of new material.

Gary West has rising piping star John Dew in session showcasing a range of new solo material , as well as some duo performances with guitarist Dylan Cairns.

Gary West welcomes rising star John Dew to the BBC’s Pacific Quay studios for a live  session. Hailing from Crieff in Perthshire, Dew is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and equally at home performing traditional solo Highland piping or exploring folk/fusion based music. He is a member of  the current world pipe band champions, the Inveraray and District. John will be joined for a couple of sets by Dylan Cairns on guitar and will be showcasing a range of his newly composed material, as well as providing our Pibroch of the Day, a modern tune from the pen of Pipe Major Donald MacLeod.
