American crime writer Donna Leon discusses her new novel Transient Desires, the 30th book in her Venice-set series featuring Commissario Guido Brunetti, as well as her forthcoming online event, in conversation with Val McDermid. 

Do you have any worn out or damaged jumpers? Janice will be finding out about the growing interest in visible mending from knitwear designer Flora Collingwood-Norris.

A  huge success when it had its debut at The Edinburgh Festival in 2017, award winning play ADAM, which has since had a world tour and a return to the Edinburgh Festival in 2019, has now been adapted for TV. Playwright Frances Poet, director Cora Bisset and actor Adam Kashmiry join Janice ahead of the screening on the BBC Scotland channel.

And in our regular Tuesday Review hour, writer Mary Paulson Ellis,  comedian and broadcaster Susan Morrison and travel writer Dan Richards will be giving their views on the following:  podcast We Didn’t Start the Fire, Emilia, a play inspired by the life of the 17th century poet and feminist Emilia Bassano, as well as her speculated role as William Shakespeare's "Dark Lady”, and the second series of McDonald and Dodds, a detective drama starring Jason Watkins.
