Whinnie Williams and Tyler West are in Bournemouth to tackle the home of a group of housemates living in an unloved rental property. Mike, Gaz, Abbie, Melis, Chloe and Ollie moved in together in the summer of 2020, but they don’t hang out in their living room - they just use it to dry laundry because they find its drab walls and tired furniture so depressing. It needs some Whinnie magic.
The boys have very different ideas from the girls about what they want. The boys want a lads’ pad with a gaming area and beer pump, whereas the girls want somewhere they can all hang out and is cool enough to be Instagrammable. Whinnie ignores them both with her own plan to create an 80s Miami-themed space where the housemates can do the one thing they actually agree on – hanging out and partying. The magnolia walls are going to be replaced with a pastel mint green colour. The centrepiece is going to be a bar made using a customised vintage cabinet Whinnie found on a shopping trip. It’s going to be the perfect spot for pouring drinks to get the party started. She’s also planning a pink lounge sofa and a low-hanging pink fringed lampshade. It’s all going to cost the price of a big night out.
But how will the pastel shades go down with a group who say they hate pink and prefer neutrals and really aren’t impressed with Whinnie’s vintage finds? Show less
