The team tackle a Victorian ice cream maker, a Spanish organillo and an old record player.

Jay Blades and the team take on a Victorian ice cream maker, a Spanish organillo, a soldier’s leather document folder and a 1950s record player.

Jay Blades and the team bring four treasured family heirlooms, and the memories they hold, back to life.

Peter Mason from Herefordshire has brought in a kitchen curiosity from a bygone age. The old-fashioned ice cream maker belonged to his beloved Granny Ethel and holds memories of happy times at her house. The gadget is falling apart, so Peter hopes metal craftsman Dominic Chinea can salvage it.

Lots of fun is had when organ restorer David Burville takes on a Spanish barrel organ, known as an organillo. It reminds owner Carolina Urraca of her childhood growing up in southern Spain with her charismatic grandmother. However, the little organ is now seriously out of tune and in a sorry state, so David overhauls the entire instrument, inside and out. 

Audio specialist Mark Stuckey is ready and waiting for Lorraine McCourt, who possesses a precious memento of a vintage love story. The portable 1950s record player was a gift from her father to her mother when they were courting. The couple were great dancers and big Nat King Cole fans, and music filled the family home most days. The record player is now showing its age and no longer able to entertain, but Mark can change all of that.

Lastly, Malcom Jordan from Chippenham needs help with a treasure that has been in his possession for 65 years. The leather document case was a gift from his older brother, whom he idolised. Leather expert Susie Fletcher treats this fragile keepsake with utmost care, reinforcing and restitching the entire item, and in doing so preserves it for the foreseeable future.
