Andreas Wolff is in Berlin where the city government has introduced a rent cap law for flats. But rent levels in Berlin are already low and there is concern that landlords won’t be willing to invest or build new houses anymore. Some warn of a return to communist times when houses were in poor condition. 

Almost a year after Covid restrictions were implemented, Annabel Maclennan investigates their effect on the parish of Gairloch. What lessons have been learned by the community and will they have a long-term effect on the area? Eòrpa speaks to businesses, old and new, and locals who have been affected.
