Nicola Meighan revisits conversations with Biffy Clyro and Kylie, Janice Forsyth catches up with Sparks and Grant chats to Suzanne Vega from New York.

Music venues were forced to close their doors during 2020 but with a New Year comes the hope that music gigs will be able to resume.  Until then Nicola Meighan pulls together some of best conversations with musicians who have appeared on The Afternoon Show throughout the last year.

Nicola catches up with Biffy Clyro about their latest album A Celebration of Endings, she talks to Kylie about her succinctly titled album Disco and Sophie Ellis-Bextor tells her about her latest album,  Songs from the Kitchen Disco: Sophie Ellis Bextor's Greatest Hits.  

Ron and Russell Mael of Sparks fame tell Janice about the release of their 24th studio album, A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip and she finds out about Katherine Jenkins' love of film music featured in her album Cinema Paradiso.

And Grant Stott checks in with Daniel Meade who performed live on the show from his house during lockdown, he finds out how Barbara Dickson reflects on 50 years in the music business and chats to Suzanne Vega about her live album An Evening of New York Songs and Stories.
