Kathryn Tickell is joined by brother Peter and dad Mike for a seasonal music session.

Kathryn Tickell is joined in a locked-down pub in Northumberland by her brother Peter and her dad Mike for as much live music-making as the current regulations allow.  We'll hear local songs and tunes, and listen to some tracks they've chosen to ease us gently through a Covid Christmas.   Kathryn is herself an acclaimed fiddler and virtuoso of the Northumbrian pipes, fiddle player Peter is a regular with artists such as Sting and the Afro Celt Sound System, and dad Mike, a singer and poet, always steals the show.

Live music and the arts: broadcasts more live music than any other radio network. Classical music is its core. Genres include world and new music, jazz, speech and drama.
