Joanne Harris, best-selling author of eighteen novels including Chocolat, talks about her new book of advice for budding authors, Ten Things about Writing, which started life as threads on Twitter which were much-admired by Neil Gaiman, Matt Haig, Cressida Cowell and Ian Rankin.

Actors Elaine C Smith and Andy Gray look back on the experience of appearing in City Lights, the hit 1980s Glasgow-set sitcom in which Gerard Kelly starred as Willie Melvin, the bank teller who worked at the Strathclyde Savings Bank and who dreamed of being a novelist. Series 1 is being re-broadcast on BBC One Scotland from tonight.

On Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend it was the Grand Finale, where the remaining couples fought it out for the Glitterball Trophy, and we’ll have a round-up plus all the backstage gossip from the presenter of the Official Strictly Podcast, Kim Winston. 

And Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre have teamed up to create a set of special Christmas content this season, from a daily digital advent vignette to a bespoke outdoor performance. Director Andrew Patton and actor Emily Winter join Janice to outline what’s in store for audiences.
