Seonaid Aitken live from Pacific Quay: Including the opening of our musical Jazz Advent Calendar with pianist Richard Michael featuring a duet with Seonaid singing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. Plus new music recorded during lockdown by Scottish jazz bassist Brodie Jarvie who introduces the radio premiere of new work featuring musicians from Korea & Amsterdam. We also have the festive single ‘The First Noel’ from award winning vocalist Georgie Cecile released this week to raise funds for local foodbanks. Plus news of the jazz winners at this year’s Ivor Novello Music Awards, and we mark pianist Dave Brubeck’s centenary by hearing music from the recently released album Lullabies, his last recorded solo album featuring a collection of well-known children's songs and originals.
