Three entrepreneurs discover what our cast of customers think of their inventions: an acne therapy, an athletics top and a card game based on emojis.

Joined in the studio by presenter Lucy Alexander, three entrepreneurs watch footage of customers as they unbox, test, review and score their precious inventions. In today’s episode, Neil, Jamas and David are hoping to receive the highest scores from the customers to be crowned today’s winner.

While working in product development in pharmaceuticals, it was a problem close to his heart that inspired father of three Neil to come up with his idea. Noticing that his teenage children were struggling with acne, he saw the possibility to modify a light therapy product to treat the condition, and he hopes his invention will knock spots off the others.     

It was a love of cricket that brought business partners Chris and Jamas together. Following a series of shoulder injuries and expensive trips to a physio, the pair decided to come up with a performance compression top that works like athletic tape and helps prevent injury by supporting upper body muscles during exercise.

A habitual inventor and a lover of comedy, David combined his humour and enthusiastic use of emojis to come up with his idea: a fun, family-friendly card game in which players must guess which emoji face is being pulled from a selection on the cards. David is hoping a win for his ‘charades for your face’ game will be on the cards for him.         

Once all three inventors have watched the customer reviews and given their own thoughts on the feedback, Lucy reveals who has won the coveted The Customer Is Always Right winner’s trophy.
