Bruce chats to Arthur Cormack about plans for Blas 2020. Plus he's joined by 2017 champion Charlie Stewart for the next instalment of Young Trad at 20: Where Are They Now?

The Blas Festival, which usually celebrates Gaelic culture and the thriving Scottish traditional music scene, will take place online over 11 days via a variety of livestreamed and pre-recorded concerts, cèilidhs, workshops and other events. Arthur Cormack from Blas Festival organisers, Fèisean nan Gàidheal, joins Bruce to chat about the the varied programme, which will feature performances from various Highland venues, providing much needed work for musicians and creative practitioners, as well as offering musical entertainment to help lift people’s spirits at this time.

Continuing our celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award, fiddler and bass player Charlie Stewart joins Bruce for the next instalment of Young Trad at 20: Where Are They Now? Charlie, who won the competition in 2017, shares his influence tracks and describes how winning the competition boosted his career as a professional musician.
