Research suggests young people who are working in care is up by 79 percent on last year.

A survey by the jobs website Get My First Job shows that the number of British school, college and university leavers interested in working in care is up 79 percent on last year.

Social care has traditionally been blighted by a reputation for hard work and low pay. But the current crisis has led to a big increase in the number of young people who want to work in the health and care sector.

First time buyers could be spending almost £2,500 more on their mortgage a year.
Research by the estate agent, Hamptons International, shows buyers are having to stump up more because of changes to higher interest rates, poor mortgage availability and the need for a bigger deposit.

According to Action Fraud, which monitors fraud cases for the police, there have been over 3,700 reports of scams that involve Covid.
