Nicola Meighan presents an Edinburgh Festival Special!

Nicola presents an Edinburgh Festival Special with Michel Faber and Cressida Cowell along with loads of great music that's featured at the festival over the years.

Nicola will be chatting to award winning children’s author Cressida Cowell about how she got into writing fantasy and what’s in store for the final instalment of her Wizards of Once series. 

She'll alsol be joined by Michel Faber to discuss his new novel “D” in which the disappearance of one letter of the alphabet launches hero Dhikilo into the adventure of a lifetime. 

For those looking for their comedy hit, Nicola will be joined by Sadia Azmat, host of the ground breaking podcast “No Country For Young Women”, to chat about how she fell into comedy. 

Nick Barley, the head of the Edinburgh International Book Festival, joins Nicola to chat about their online season and how the festival has adapted. And we’ll get a review of how the online events work for viewers from Becka Smith. 

And even though the venues are closed, we’re being encouraged to wander the streets of Edinburgh passing  some of the much loved buildings we might otherwise be in. Search Party Edinburgh from the Gilded Balloon is an app that wants us to help find The Spirit of the Fringe. Anna Welander has a go to see if she can solve the mystery.
